Phovaris
Managed IT infrastructure · Salt Lake County

Problems spotted early. Fixed by someone who already knows your network.

Tired of being a ticket number? Get one senior engineer who knows your office and runs your network, cloud, devices, and security. Planned work happens in evening maintenance windows, so your staff never lose a workday to it.

For offices of 5 to 25 people across Salt Lake County and the Wasatch Front, or larger teams that want their infrastructure covered alongside in-house IT.

Same engineer, every time. Plain language, always.

The difference

Your IT shouldn't feel like a lottery.

Say your VPN drops on Monday, drops again on Thursday, and something else breaks next week. Here's who picks up.

A typical IT company

  1. #20418
    Monday

Whoever is free picks up and troubleshoots from a generic script.

  2. #20431
    Thursday

A different person answers, so you explain it all again.

  3. #20466
    Next week

Tier 1 first. The real fix waits for an escalation.

Phovaris

  1. Mitch Sanborn, founder of Phovaris
    Monday

I pick up, already know your setup, and have the access to fix it.

  2. Thursday

The same person again. Your environment is documented, so the fix starts right away.

  3. Next week

The same person, who flagged the next problem before you noticed it.

I manage it. You get on with your actual job.

When you call Phovaris, you get me: the same person who set your systems up and keeps them running.

Mitch Sanborn
Founder · 11 years running systems

I've spent 11 years keeping infrastructure running, and I started Phovaris because the people I helped kept telling me they didn't want a help desk. They wanted someone who knew their setup and picked up the phone. You get me, and a deliberately small client roster means every office gets real time and attention.

  • Knows your network, VPN, and the server in the closet.
  • Knows your backups, compliance, and who has access to what.
  • Knows your staff by name, and which laptop belongs to whom.
  • Knows your roadmap and budget, so nothing gets sprung on you.

What I believe

“You shouldn't have to explain your office to a stranger every time something breaks.

You deserve someone who already knows your people, your network, and the printer that always jams. Someone who picks up, gives you straight answers, keeps their word, and earns your trust every year.

Because IT is a relationship, not a ticket queue.”

Founder, Phovaris
  • Someone who picks up

Every call, email, and request comes to me, the engineer who runs your systems. No call center, no handoffs, and you never repeat your story to someone new.

  • Straight answers

Reports you can actually read: what's protected, what changed, and what I'd do next. No jargon to hide behind.

  • Keeping my word

Every request gets a response time based on how urgent it is, and critical issues always come first. Those times go in your agreement, not just on this page.

  • Earning your trust every year

You should stay because it works. Agreements run 12 months, with a written reminder 45 to 60 days before each renewal. If you leave, your documentation, credentials, and data go with you.

How it works

Switching is easier than you think.

  1. Tell me what isn't working

A free, plain-English chat about what your current IT gets wrong, and whether I can help.

  2. I handle the switch

Credentials, documentation, and coordinating with your old provider, so you don't have to. The whole switch takes about 30 days.

  3. I run it from there

Monitoring and upkeep run quietly in the background, and every request comes to me, the engineer who already knows your setup.

What Phovaris handles · infrastructure first

The systems your office runs on.
Managed, secured, and documented.

01

Network & infrastructure

Firewall, switches, Wi-Fi, and the server in the closet. Configured properly, kept current, and changed in the evening while your office is closed, so nobody loses a morning to maintenance.

02

Cloud & Microsoft 365

Accounts, licenses, sign-in policies, and the move to the cloud you keep meaning to finish. Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, run the way it should be.

03

Devices & patching

Every laptop and desktop kept updated, healthy, and set up the same way. New hires get a working machine on day one; people who leave lose access the same day.

04

Security & threat protection

Built into everything Phovaris manages, not bolted on. Endpoint protection, phishing defense, and multi-factor sign-in. You'll know exactly what's protected.

05

Backup & recovery

Automated, tested backups with a documented recovery plan. Tested means actually restored, not assumed.

06

Monitoring

An automated watch on the systems that matter, around the clock, flagging problems early (often before you'd notice them).

07

IT strategy / vCIO

A real plan and a real budget for your tech, in plain language, so every cost is known well ahead of time.

08

Helpdesk, when you need it

Help for your people with the everyday stuff: Outlook, the printer, the "how do I…" questions. A monthly allowance comes with every plan, and the helpdesk add-on covers everyday help without counting hours.

Who it's for

Too big to wing it. Too small for an IT department.

Pricing

Simple pricing: a site fee plus a rate per user.

Every plan is built the same way. The site fee covers your network and cloud; the per-user rate covers each person's devices and accounts. Pick the plan that fits your office today and move up whenever you're ready. No penalty to upgrade, no repackaging your whole setup.

Built for continuity

Your systems are never left on their own.

Written response times, monitoring that never sleeps, documentation any qualified engineer could pick up, and a client roster small enough that you're never waiting behind a crowd.

Without someone watching

  • A lost workday when something breaks and nobody saw it coming.
  • Problems your staff find before your IT company does.
  • A former employee who still has access to your email and files.
  • A provider who sends someone new every time, so you explain it all again.
When something breaks

Urgent issues come straight to me

Critical issues answered within two hours during helpdesk hours.

Requests are sorted by urgency. Helpdesk hours are weekdays from 3:30 to 10 pm, and anything earlier is the first thing I pick up at 3:30 pm. Overnight and weekend requests get a response by 5 pm the next weekday. These response times are written into your agreement.

Around the clock

Your systems are watched 24/7

Problems flagged day and night, often before your staff notice.

An RMM agent on each machine, plus dedicated monitoring on the systems that matter most, catches many issues on its own.

Documented by design

Your whole setup, written down

Everything documented, and it goes with you if you leave.

Networks, access, and the server in the closet are kept current in Hudu and locked to the right people, so any qualified engineer could pick it up.

A small client roster

Room for every office I take on

Your requests never compete with a crowd.

A deliberately small roster is what lets me know your systems in detail, plan every change carefully, and still answer the phone myself.
